Doctors Fight to Reopen Children's Oncology Ward in Katowice
Doctors from the Children's Haematology and Oncology ward closed in June in Katowice are demanding its reopening, saying children's health and lives are at stake. The former head of the ward warns that transferring young patients to Zabrze could endanger their health or even lives. The Polish Society of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology has declared the situation in Silesia a crisis in an open letter.
