Expert: EU Common Agricultural Policy Cannot Handle Ukraine's Accession

Bartosz Urbaniak, head of Agro BNP Paribas banking for Central-Eastern Europe and Africa, argues that the current EU Common Agricultural Policy cannot withstand Ukraine's potential accession. Ukraine's agricultural sector is enormous, and integrating it would require a deep reform of the CAP budget. Polish farming, as one of the larger EU sectors, would be especially exposed to the consequences.
