Galaxy's coldest "stars" may be alien Dyson spheres harvesting energy

A new study suggests that red dwarfs and white dwarfs are the best candidates for hosting Dyson spheres — hypothetical energy-harvesting megastructures built by advanced alien civilisations. Such structures would glow in infrared rather than visible light, lack the dusty signatures of ordinary stars, and may flicker in unusual patterns.
