A massive upset took place on the domestic Netflix viewership chart recently, with a movie produced on a reported budget of $1.5 million overtaking a franchise tent pole. The small-budget movie was released theatrically five years ago. It received excellent reviews, but didn't make much of an impression at the box office. However, it found an audience on the PVOD market in the years since, and it seems to be carrying this momentum forward in its streaming run.
