Tangem card flaw: laser attack resets passwords — firm says risk is minimal

Researchers at Ledger disclosed a vulnerability in Tangem hardware wallet cards: a laser attack can bypass a recovery-state check in the firmware and reset the card's password. Tangem acknowledged the flaw but said the risk to everyday users is "virtually non-existent" because the attack requires physical access to the device and specialised equipment. The disclosure highlights ongoing hardware security concerns in the crypto wallet space.
