Kaczyński Calls Police Officers 'Thugs' at Smolensk Anniversary – Reactions
At the latest Smolensk monthly commemoration, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński labelled police officers maintaining order "thugs" (bojówkarze). Left-wing MP Dariusz Wieczorek said the remarks undermine trust in the security services and show Kaczyński is "detached from reality." PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk countered that it is an "extraordinary scandal" that police are protecting those who disrupt the commemoration.
