Jedwabne and Volhynia anniversaries: time for memory, not politics

Today marks the anniversary of the Jedwabne pogrom, and tomorrow the anniversary of the Volhynia Massacre. The author urges readers to tune out politicians who exploit emotionally charged anniversaries for their own ends. Instead, he recommends turning to Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn as a model of reflection without hatred.
