New York sues 3M and DuPont over PFAS "forever chemicals" contamination

New York State has filed a lawsuit against 3M, DuPont and other companies, alleging they contaminated the environment with PFAS — so-called "forever chemicals" — and engaged in fraud by withholding information from the public about the health harms. PFAS compounds have been linked to cancer and other serious illnesses. The lawsuit seeks accountability for decades of alleged concealment of the chemicals' dangers.
