Scuffles at Smolensk anniversary — Kaczyński calls police "thugs"

Scuffles broke out at the latest Smolensk anniversary ceremony at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw between PiS supporters, protesters and police. PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński, attempting to lay a wreath at his brother's monument, became involved in the clashes and publicly labelled police officers "thugs." The Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters issued an official statement in response.
