Over 3,500 foreign fighters killed fighting for Russia — North Koreans the largest group

BBC and independent Russian outlet Mediazona have established that more than 3,500 foreign nationals fighting on Russia's side have been killed since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. Soldiers from North Korea make up the largest single group among the dead. Foreign fighters also include volunteers from Cuba, Nepal and numerous other countries.
