Six skeletons found in Göring's house at Wolf's Lair — excavation begins

Six human skeletons, including children's remains, were found buried just 20 cm deep and without hands or feet beneath Hermann Göring's house at the Wolf's Lair in Gierłoża. The Latebra Foundation from Gdańsk made the discovery two years ago. Archaeologists from the Polish Academy of Sciences, Jakub M. Niebylski and Bartłomiej Sz. Szmoniewski, have now begun a three-week excavation to identify the victims and determine whether more remains are present.
