Only 1 in 3 psychologists correctly identified full ADHD diagnostic criteria
An Australian study of 322 psychologists specialising in ADHD revealed significant gaps in diagnostic knowledge. While three-quarters claimed to follow clinical guidelines, fewer than one in three correctly identified the full set of diagnostic criteria. The findings raise concerns about the accuracy of ADHD diagnoses in practice.
