Bayeux Tapestry arrives in London on loan from France for the first time in nearly 1,000 years

The medieval Bayeux Tapestry, depicting the Norman conquest of England in 1066, arrived in London early on Friday after nearly a thousand years in France. The artefact has been loaned to the UK for one year and will be displayed at the British Museum. Its transport was kept secret due to security concerns.
