Bayeux Tapestry arrives in Britain for first time in centuries for September exhibition
The Bayeux Tapestry, the medieval masterpiece depicting the Norman Conquest of England, has been transferred from France to London in a highly secretive operation. The nearly 1,000-year-old artefact will go on display at the British Museum in September. It is the tapestry's first return to British soil in almost a millennium.
