Bayer sells $3.4bn stake in contraceptives arm to Apollo Global

Bayer AG has sold a minority stake in its contraceptives business to Apollo Global Management for €3 billion ($3.4 billion). The proceeds will be used to strengthen the German pharmaceutical group's capital structure. The deal is part of Bayer's broader strategy to reduce its debt burden.
