1941 Jewish Pogroms: Jedwabne Was Not an Isolated Case

On 10 July 1941, Polish residents of Jedwabne murdered their Jewish neighbours by locking them in a barn and setting it on fire, acting under German instigation as established by Poland's Institute of National Remembrance. Similar pogroms took place in numerous other towns across German-occupied Polish territory. These crimes remain one of the most painful chapters of Polish history.
