Shop prices rise below inflation as discount war intensifies

For the second month running, price increases on basic goods in Polish shops are slowing – in June they came in below the overall inflation rate. The effect is most visible in food prices. Fierce competition between discount chains and falling farm-gate prices are the key drivers.
