Poland's deposit system to expand to milk cartons and single-use glass bottles

Poland's bottle deposit system has been in operation since 1 October 2025, covering plastic bottles. The Ministry of Climate and Environment has announced that single-use glass bottles and milk cartons will be added to the scheme in the second half of the year. Major retailers including Biedronka and Carrefour are already preparing for the expansion.
