Washington could get a 76-metre triumphal arch — taller than Paris — under Trump plan

The US National Capital Planning Commission has given preliminary approval for a 76-metre triumphal arch in Washington, D.C., proposed by President Donald Trump. The structure would be taller than Paris's Arc de Triomphe, which stands around 50 metres. It is one of several grand architectural projects Trump has proposed for the capital.
