Homemade nettle liquid fertiliser boosts roses better than shop-bought products
In July, roses need intensive feeding to bloom throughout summer. Nettle liquid fertiliser, made by soaking leaves in water for about two weeks, supplies plants with nitrogen, potassium and iron. The diluted liquid (1:10 with water) should be applied every one to two weeks directly to the roots.
