Telstra CEO apologises for outage, admits time-keeping risk was known beforehand

Telstra CEO Vicki Brady publicly apologised for a major network outage, admitting the company had known about the risk of a timekeeping system failure but that backup measures still failed to prevent it. South Australian police are investigating whether a death during the outage is linked to a failed triple zero (000) emergency call, though Telstra says it has no record of such a call. Brady made the remarks at her first public appearance since returning from overseas.
