Deadly H5 bird flu detected in Australian wild bird for the first time

Australia has recorded its first-ever case of deadly H5 bird flu in local wildlife, confirmed in a greater crested tern found dead at Robe on South Australia's Limestone Coast. Federal Agriculture Minister Julie Collins announced the positive test result on Friday. The greater crested tern is a common coastal bird in Australia.
