Nuria Parrizas Diaz retires from tennis immediately after match against Świątek's and Chwalińska's rival

Spanish tennis player Nuria Parrizas Diaz, once ranked 43rd in the world and a former opponent of Iga Świątek and Maja Chwalińska, announced her sudden retirement immediately after her final match. As recently as last year she was ranked inside the WTA top 100. The decision caught the tennis world by surprise, as she had given no prior indication she would retire.
