Pfizer seizes Polish aviation authority's account over €1.3bn COVID vaccine dispute

US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has had the bank account of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PAŻP) seized as part of its effort to recover 5.6 billion złoty (around €1.3bn) that Poland owes following a lost arbitration over COVID-19 vaccine contracts. PAŻP, which oversees the safety of Polish airspace, is not a party to the dispute but was targeted as a state treasury unit. The move marks an escalation in the legal battle between Warsaw and Pfizer over pandemic-era vaccine procurement.
