Iran buries Khamenei in Mashhad as US-Iran clashes resume

Iran on Friday buried former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei at the Imam Reza shrine in his home city of Mashhad, more than four months after he was killed in an airstrike. His flag-draped coffin was carried inside as large crowds gathered outside for prayers. The funeral came amid fresh US-Iranian military exchanges over two days, raising fears of a return to all-out war. Khamenei's son and successor Mojtaba made no public appearance at the ceremony.
