With just a little over a month until the release of Ridley Scott 's new movie, The Dog Stars , the famously candid filmmaker has offered one of his first comments on the film. Scott is known for never mincing his words, regardless of whether he's taking down historians or Russell Crowe . This time around, the legendary filmmaker seemed to be in a self-deprecating mood, as he waved away more than a decade of work while plugging The Dog Stars . He also gave a shout-out to the film's star, Jacob Elordi , and said that the young actor has a bright future ahead of him. Scott made these comments to the liquor trade outlet The Buyer , where he mainly spoke about his wine business.
