Showrunner Chuck Lorre paid tribute to director James Burrows, who recently died after a brief illness, during a memorial for agent Bob Broder. Burrows directed the pilots of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men," both central to Lorre's career. Lorre lost two of the most important figures in his professional life within nine months.
