Czech earthquake measured magnitude 1.8 — weaker than initially reported
An earthquake struck western Czech Republic, with Germany's GFZ research centre measuring its magnitude at 1.8. Initial estimates placed the quake significantly higher on the scale, but this turned out to be a measurement error. The tremor's epicentre was located in the western part of the country.
