Mexico has launched an investigation into whether the US secretly participated in the 2024 capture of Sinaloa cartel co-founder Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada García on Mexican soil. Local outlet Pie de Nota reported that the FBI was involved in the operation, despite Washington's long-standing denials of any role.
