NATO F-16 catches fire on runway at Zakynthos — airport blocked for hours

A NATO F-16 fighter jet made an emergency landing on the Greek island of Zakynthos after the pilot received a fire warning on board. The aircraft caught fire on the runway, forcing the airport to close for several hours. Numerous civilian flights were cancelled or significantly delayed as a result.
