Senator Zawiła waives immunity after prosecutor's motion over flat sold with 99% discount

Prosecutor General Waldemar Żurek has filed a motion to lift the parliamentary immunity of Civic Coalition senator Marcin Zawiła. Investigators allege that when Zawiła was mayor of Jelenia Góra, he assigned a municipal flat bypassing the standard tender procedure; it was then sold to its tenants at a 99% discount. Zawiła responded by declaring he would waive his own immunity voluntarily.
