Marciniak left out of all World Cup quarter-finals by FIFA

FIFA has announced the referee assignments for the World Cup quarter-finals, and Poland's Szymon Marciniak was not selected. The Polish referee had only taken charge of two group-stage matches and was passed over for both the round of 16 and the round of 16. Marciniak will therefore officiate no knockout-stage match at this year's tournament.
