New York sues 3M, DuPont and others for concealing forever chemicals' health risks for decades
New York Attorney General Letitia James has filed a lawsuit against 3M, DuPont and other manufacturers, accusing them of hiding the environmental and health risks of so-called "forever chemicals" (PFAS) in consumer products for decades. PFAS compounds are widely used in cookware, clothing and cosmetics and take hundreds of years to break down in the environment. The companies are accused of deliberately misleading consumers about the dangers.
