TVP to send commentators to the World Cup only from the quarter-finals due to FIFA's sky-high fees

Following Poland's failure to qualify for the World Cup, TVP has revised its tournament coverage plans. The broadcaster's journalists will only travel to provide on-site commentary from the quarter-final stage onwards. The decision was driven by FIFA's extremely high fees for commentary positions, which one TVP journalist described as absurd, saying "FIFA has gone mad."
