Teachers to strike — union says education ministry has stalled for 9 months
The Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP) has announced a protest after nine months with no progress from the parliamentary subcommittee on teacher pay. ZNP president Sławomir Broniarz called the situation "scandalous," accusing the Ministry of Education of conducting sham negotiations with the Finance Ministry. The prime minister has apologised and promised to speed things up, while the education minister insists commitments will be met before the end of the parliamentary term, but teachers say they have run out of patience.
