Varenna on Lake Como bans walking in swimwear — fines introduced

The Italian town of Varenna on Lake Como has introduced fines for tourists walking around in swimwear or without shirts. Organised tour groups are also subject to the new restrictions. Residents had long complained about overtourism and inappropriate dress in the town.
