ARPA-H launches $160 million THRIVE programme for custom gene editing treatments

The US health research agency ARPA-H announced on Thursday the THRIVE programme, committing up to $160 million to advance custom gene editing treatments for rare diseases. Seven teams will be funded, each tackling different groups of conditions affecting various organ systems. All teams are required to begin clinical trials within three years of the programme's start, with some expected to move faster.
