Three 13th-Century Shipwrecks Found in Menorca's 'Cove of Mysteries'
Archaeologists have discovered three 13th-century medieval trading shipwrecks in a cove on the island of Menorca, known as the 'Cove of Mysteries'. The vessels are believed to have been sunk by meteorological tsunamis. Their cargo included objects from both Christian kingdoms and Moorish communities on the Iberian Peninsula, pointing to wide-ranging medieval trade links.
