NATO Warns Any Attack on an Ally Would Draw a "Devastating Response"

British newspaper The Telegraph warned in early July that Russia may be planning armed provocations on the border with Poland or the Baltic states. NATO responded to the claims in correspondence with Wirtualna Polska, quoting Secretary General Mark Rutte. Rutte has repeatedly stressed that any attack on an Alliance member would be met with a "devastating response."
