10 NATO nations to boost maritime security in Arctic, Baltic and North Atlantic

Ten NATO countries have announced a joint initiative to strengthen maritime security in the Arctic Ocean, the Baltic Sea and the northern Atlantic. The coordinated patrols and operations are designed to deter Russia from aggressive actions in the region. The move follows a rise in Russian naval activity and hybrid operations in those waters.
