Oman Opposes Transit Fees in Strait of Hormuz, Putting It at Odds With Iran

Oman has informed the UN's International Maritime Organization that it does not support imposing transit fees in the Strait of Hormuz. The position puts the sultanate at odds with Iran, which is pushing to charge passing cargo ships for navigation rights. The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most critical oil shipping lanes.
