Swift launches blockchain ledger pilot with 17 banks including HSBC and Citi

Swift has launched a new blockchain-based payments platform to enable round-the-clock transactions using tokenized digital assets. Seventeen major global banks — including HSBC, UBS, Wells Fargo and Citi — are preparing to pilot live transactions on the system. The move aims to bring 24/7 settlement capabilities to traditional banking infrastructure.
