Meta uses your Instagram photos for AI by default — here's how to turn it off

Meta has launched its own AI image generation model integrated into Instagram, which by default allows anyone to use your profile photo and posts as prompts for AI-generated images. Users can prevent this by toggling off two settings hidden within the app. The options are deliberately obscure, so privacy advocates urge users to disable them immediately.
