Bonnie Tyler, singer of "Total Eclipse of the Heart", dies aged 75

Bonnie Tyler, the Welsh singer renowned for her distinctive raspy voice and the 1983 hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart", died on 9 July 2026 at the age of 75. She was raised in a Protestant family and was deeply religious, reportedly attending church up to three times on Sundays. Her powerful voice made her one of the most recognisable artists of the 1980s.
