Riots in Lviv after army detains draft evader — mayor Sadovyi calls it "shameful"

Riots broke out in Lviv's Sychiv district on Wednesday evening after soldiers detained a 30-year-old man evading military conscription. A crowd overturned a military vehicle during the unrest. Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyi condemned the scenes as "shameful behaviour" and described them as "a symptom, not yet a diagnosis." Presidential chief of staff Kyrylo Budanov also commented on the incident.
