Chat Control Returns – EU Pushes for Mass Scanning of Private Messages

EU politicians are once again pushing the Chat Control regulation, which would require mass scanning of private messages under the guise of child safety online. Critics call it "security theatre" — it fails to effectively address the problem while posing serious risks to privacy. A similar scheme trialled in Australia ended in failure.
