Obajtek joins hunger strike at Solino, scuffle breaks out at plant entrance
Miners at the Solino salt mines in Inowrocław, owned by Orlen, are on hunger strike to protest the planned sale of Qemetica (formerly Ciech) assets to Germany's K+S. Former Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek joined the strike on Friday; a scuffle broke out between him and Solino board president Wojciech Kotlarek at the plant entrance. Strikers are demanding state takeover of Qemetica, the primary buyer of brine from the Inowrocław mines.
