New Polish Law to Combat Medical Quacks, but Prof. Biliński Says More Is Needed

Professor Jarosław Biliński, a haematology specialist, warned on TVN24+'s "Wywiad medyczny" programme about the dangers of medical quackery, including offers to treat cancer with vitamin C, deworming or starvation diets. He said new Polish legislation will help combat pseudomedicine but is not sufficient on its own. Specialist doctors routinely deal with the consequences of patients following such practices.
