EU court: Public-domain works like Anne Frank's Diary can be published free online with geoblocking

The Court of Justice of the EU ruled on Thursday that a work in the public domain in one EU member state may be freely published online, even if it is still copyright-protected in another member state. The only requirement is the application of geoblocking, even if users can technically circumvent it. The ruling directly concerns Anne Frank's Diary.
