Paraguayan senator launches racist attack on Mbappé after World Cup match

After France beat Paraguay in the World Cup round of 16, Kylian Mbappé became a public enemy in the country, sparked partly by his refusal to shake the opposing goalkeeper's hand. A Paraguayan senator launched a racist attack against him, and similar remarks were later repeated in a senate session. Outrageous scenes also took place during Paraguay's San Juan Ara festival, where Mbappé was mockingly targeted.
